Aston Villa couple Alisha Lehmann and Douglas Luiz are reportedly involved in a first-of-its-kind dou ble transfer deal in the 2024 summer transfer window. The summer window started on June 14 with several deals already going through. But even before the window officially started, Luiz was slated to be part of a three-player swap deal to join Italian giants Juventus.
The Brazilian defender and his team Aston Villa had a brilliant 2023-24 season as they secured Champions League football with a fourth-placed finish last season. After an incredible individual season, Luiz has been one of Europe’s most desired players, and the Biaconneri emerged as potential suitors.
Alongside the former Serie A champions, Arsenal have also shown interest in the Brazilian international. But as per the latest developments, Luiz has agreed personal terms with Juventus and the transfer is on the verge of completion. But alongside Douglas Luiz’s move, the transfer of his girlfriend and Aston Villa women’s team star Alisha Lehmann is also in the works.
As per Juventusnews24.com, along with Luiz’s move, Juventus are planning to sign Lehmann. The report reveals that the transfer would not affect the club’s budget for the women’s side. At first, the report claimed the club were thinking about it but it was not seen as a “necessity”. Luiz is understood to have requested the historic marketing move which is now “becoming a reality”.
