AIFF to respond to sacked coach Igor Stimac’s criticising remarks in next 48 hours

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) said that it will respond to Igor Stimac’s remarks on the functionalities in the next 48 hours. Not only this, but he also blamed President Kalyan Chaubey for the problems the sport has been facing in the country.

The governing body released a statement on Friday, June 21, and said that it would respond to Stimac’s scathing attack shortly. The statement read, “It has come to our attention that former India men’s team head coach Mr. Igor Stimac has made certain remarks in the media pertaining to the functioning of the All India Football Federation and some of its senior officials. The AIFF will issue a statement in this regard in the next 48 hours.”

Your football is imprisoned: Departing coach Igor Stimac launches brutal attack on AIFF

Indian men’s football’s departing head coach addressed the media on Friday, June 21, and said that it is the “sad state of the All-India Football Federation”. While addressing the media, he said, “I came with an open heart to Indian football. But your football is imprisoned. It will take a couple of decades for things to improve which I don’t see happening.”

He added, “Not surprised about parting ways. Most of my senior players knew I had decided to leave even after had qualified for the third round. It was impossible for me to go on without proper support, full of lies and people who had only private interests.”
