After winning the toss, Mitch Marsh asked India to bat first who struggled after losing Virat Kohli cheaply. He continued this onslaught to post a blistering 92 in 41 balls before getting out against Mitchell Starc. Chasing this total, Australia got off to a brilliant start despite losing David Warner early. Travis Head and Marsh posted an 81-run stand before the Aussie skipper was dismissed. Then came Glenn Maxwell who played a quick-fire 10-ball 22 before getting which allowed India to take over. Kuldeep Yadav, Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah and Axar Patel were among the wickets as Australia was restricted to 181.

Talking about this win, Rohit Sharm said,  “Satisfying. We know the opposition and the threat they bring. As a team we did well, kept doing the things we needed to do. Gives us good confidence as a team. 200 is a good score but when you are playing here with wind being a big factor, anything can happen. But I think we used to conditions really well, and it was about individuals doing their job.”
