The Indian batter, who joined the celebrations with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, opened up on what was going on in his mind while attempting the catch. “At that moment I did not think whether I would be able to catch the ball or not and once the ball came in my hand, I had pick it up and pass it to the other side… We have practiced this thing a lot,” SKY said.

Furthermore, Team India captain Rohit Sharma also opened up on this crucial catch at the Maharashtra Vidhan Bhavan last week. “After Surya caught the ball, he told me that the bat sat in his hand. Thank goodness, it sat in his hand. Otherwise, I would have sat him out,” Rohit said at the assembly, leaving everyone in splits.
