On the latest episode of WWE Raw at the Resch Center in Green Bay, Damian Priest and Gunther were embroiled in a massive brawl inside the ring before going at it in the loading dock area. Notably, Damian Priest is set to defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Gunther at SummerSlam at the Cleveland Browns Stadium a week from this Saturday.
The Monday Night Raw kicked-off at the top of the hour with Gunther hitting the ring, to talk about his face-to-face promo with Damian Priest last week. He spoke about reflecting on the incendiary things said to the World Heavyweight Champion, calling him a “street trash” before stating that every word out of his mouth was the truth.
Gunther went on to remark about his need to restore the reputation and prestige of professional wrestling and the World Heavyweight Championship, which Damian Priest isn’t able to do in his eyes. He also called out the Judgement Day, expecting them to get involved in the upcoming championship match at WWE SummerSlam before calling them a “street trash” collectively.
Moments later, Damian Priest hit the ring before punching Gunther in the face, and the brawl between the champion and the challenger ensued at the Resch Center before the agents, referees, and the security personnel separated them. After the commercial break, Damian Priest and Gunther were spotted going at it in the loading dock area until the WWE officials got involved to keep them apart, but not managing to do a good job of it.
With such bad blood between Damian Priest and Gunther, their upcoming World Heavyweight Championship match is expected to be quite a spectacle for the fans at SummerSlam.
