The Survival Week of BGMS Season 3 is underway with thrilling matches. Day 4 will be played today from 7:15 PM. Vasista Esports has been holding the top position since the start, but their poor performance yesterday has narrowed the points difference, allowing other teams to potentially climb up today. Only 4 days and 8 matches are left in this week, and the top 4 from the overall standings will qualify for the finals. Vasista Esports and Carpediem are looking strong with 74 and 64 points, respectively, after 5 matches. However, with the Bounty System, Powerplay, and Impact Players, any point difference can be easily covered, as any team can gain over 40 points in just one match. Therefore, both teams need to remain consistent in the upcoming days.
Team Tamilas is consistent through the Survival Week, securing third position in the table with 56 points while led by Ash. Team Forever currently finds themselves safe in the top 4.
Godlike Esports showed some positive signs yesterday where they are engaging in more and more fights to get advantage of Powerplay, securing 22 points. Currently, they are in 9th position, while rivals Team Soul need to be stepped up; now they are currently sitting at 13th with only 31 points. They desperately need their IGL Manya back for the upcoming matches.
Two of the tournament favorites, MOGO Esports and Team XSpark, are currently at the bottom of the standings. They have a very big gap to cover, and they need to be more aggressive to climb up.
League Week (22nd July–4th August 2024)
20 teams from Opening Week (Top 18 + 2 Fans Voting) will play in League Week for 14 match days. After all, matches are complete, the top 4 teams will advance to the “Finals”, while the 5th to 20th-ranked teams will move to the “Playoffs.”
Bounty System
The Bounty System is active during League Week from July 22 to August 4. Based on the overall standings after each match, the top four teams will carry a bounty. For example, if a team eliminates all four players from the bounty team, they earn 10 bounty points. Note: To earn the bounty points, the teams need to finish all four players in the bounty squad; if any one player remains, they will not get the bounty points.
Currently, the Bounty Teams are Vasista Esports, Team Tamilas, Carpediem, and Team Forever. The team that eliminates all players from one of these teams will receive the 10-point bounty.
