ISPL Season 2 to be played in January 2025

After a successful first edition of one-of-a-kind tennis ball T10 tournament, the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) is set to mark its return in January 2025. The T10 tournament, which is the first-ever tennis ball T10 cricket competition in India, will return to the stadium next year (2025) with its second edition after the inaugural edition saw Tigers of Kolkata being crowned the champions.

The tournament, which is a “pioneering tennis cricket league” and is designed to “unite the finest local cricket talent in India” and create “a comprehensive platform for players to showcase their skills”, is set to feature 96 players like the first edition. Moreover, it will field six competitive teams, which include Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata and Srinagar, locking horns in excruciating action across 10 days. Furthermore, the team owners have a lineup of celebrities, including the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Saif and Kareena Kapoor Khan, among others.

The league “aspires to transcend boundaries and establish itself as an international platform, fostering the growth of future cricketing superstars while adding structure to the cricket scene in cities.” Speaking of the ISPL, former India cricketer and head coach, Ravi Shastri was the Chief Mentor of the tournament in its inaugural edition.
