Nobody in the world can stop me: Jasprit Bumrah’s candid reply on toughest batter question goes viral

During a recent college function in Chennai, when Jasprit Bumrah, the Indian fast bowler, was asked about the toughest batter to bowl to, he gave a calm and calculated answer. The 30-year-old spoke about how he doesn’t want to let any batter get into his head before stating that if he does his job well then there is nobody in the world who can stop him.

Notably, Jasprit Bumrah is widely regarded as one of the best fast bowlers of all-time currently, who has performed exceedingly well in all formats of the game for India. Just a couple of months ago, he played a crucial role for the Indian cricket team in winning their first ICC trophy in more than 10 years, defeating South Africa in the final of the T20 World Cup 2024 in the Caribbean.

There’s nobody in the world who can stop me: Jasprit Bumrah

Since then, Jasprit Bumrah is enjoying some well deserved rest from cricket, and in his off time, he received a hero’s welcome from college students in Chennai. When one of them asked him about the toughest batter to bowl to, he replied, “Look I want to give a good answer but the real factor is that I don’t want anyone to take over me in my head because obviously I respect everyone, but in my head I tell myself that if I do my job well, there’s nobody in the world who can stop me.”

“So I look at myself rather than the opponent so if I think that I have control over everything and if I give myself the best opportunity, everything else will take care of itself rather than giving the power to the batsman that he’ll get the better of me and he’s better than me, so that I don’t want to,” he added.

Moreover, Jasprit Bumrah is expected to make his return to cricket during the upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh, starting from September 19 onwards.
