Saurabh Rawat, the Delhi-born cricketer, is currently featuring in the Uttarakhand Premier League (UPL) 2024, which is being organised by the Cricket Association of Uttarakhand (CAU). While this serves as the inaugural season of the UPL, in the opening match of the T20 league, Saurabh Anand Singh Rawat emerged as the star of the night with his unbeaten 97-run knock. 

The 26-year-old batter helped his team, the Haridwar Spring Elmas secure comfortable four-wicket win at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Dehradun. The Ravikumar Samarth-led side earlier in the match, won the toss and invited their opponents, Dehradun Warriors to bat first. The side posted 176 runs with Aditya Tare leading from the front with a 41-ball 73*.

In pursuit of the 177-run target, Saurabh Rawat led the charge, playing an unbeaten 49-ball 97. During the run chase, the Haridwar team was struggling at 40/5 in the seventh over, but with the 26-year-old taking the crease, he turned the tide of the game with his blazing knock of unbeaten 97. During his 49-ball stay in the middle, Rawat smashed 11 fours and four sixes, along with stitching a crucial 81-run partnership with Saurav Chauhan and then with Girish Rauturi.
