After the completion of the Test series against New Zealand, Team India is touring South Africa for a four-match T20I series. While the team, captained by Suryakumar Yadav is featuring some new faces with the senior Test team preparing to take on Australia in the highly anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25.
Speaking of the first T20I, which was played at the Kingsmead in Durban, the Men in Blue restricted their Protean rival to 141 in 17.5 overs to take a 1-0 lead in the series with a 61-run win. During the match, which saw Sanju Samson score a historic ton to help the team put 202 runs on the board, also saw the Indian players get into a heated argument with South African quick Marco Jansen.

As the Protean Men took the guards in the middle during their chase of 203-run target, skipper Suryakumar Yadav was seen getting into a heated exchange of words. The incident took place in the 15th over, which was bowled by Ravi Bishnoi. Samson, who was keeping the wickets, collected the throw from deep right on the pitch. Speaking of the ongoing T20I series which stands 1-0 in favour of India after their win in the first T20I, the two teams will next lock horns in the second T20I on Sunday, November 10 at the St George’s Park in Gqeberha.
