Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram recently shared a bizarre incident, leaving his fellow commentators absolutely stunned. Akram revealed how he was charged 1000 AUD (₹55K) for his cat’s haircut. Notably, Akram was recently a part of the commentary panel during the ODI clash between Australia and Pakistan. The series saw Pakistan registering a 2-1 win over the series after winning the second and the third ODIs against Australia.
During one of the games, the former Pakistan pacer revealed how he had to pay 1000 AUD for his cat’s haircut. Speaking of the game, Pakistan were chasing 141 runs in the final ODI matches and had openers Saim Ayub and Abdullah Shafique doing wonders with bat. With the series victory, Pakistan recorded their first series win in Australia since 2002.

In one of the videos doing rounds on social media, the former cricketer could be seen revealing that he had to pay 1000 AUD for his cat’s haircut. The legendary pacer said, “I had a cat haircut yesterday. I have to pay 1000 Australian dollars for the cat’s haircut. They have got to sedate the cat, they have to keep the cat, then they have to feed the cat. I said about 200 cats in Pakistan can get haircut for this money.”
Not only this, but he also shared the invoice with his fellow commentators which revealed the amount of money he had to pay for all the charges. The invoice revealed that the cricketer-turned-commentator paid ₹5799 (A$105) for medical checkup, ₹16844 (A$305) for anesthesia, and ₹2209 (A$40) for the haircut. Not only this, but it also had charges like 6627 (A$120) for post-procedure care, ₹13862 (A$251) for a cardio test, and more.
