Keith Richardson attacks referee after getting TKO’d on PPV

In a shocking turn of events at the BKFC 62 PPV, Keith Richardson, the American MMA fighter, inadvertently attacked the referee Sam Burgos after getting TKOed by his fellow countryman Alberto Blas. At the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, Keith Richardson also lost his BKFC Bantamweight Championship, suffering a defeat for the first time in the promotion.

The one-sided co-main event of the BKFC 62 between the champion Keith Richardson and the challenger Alberto Blas ended at 1:10 in the first round. Richardson took a series of hard punches from Blas, which led to the referee stopping the fight, but he didn’t know what was coming next for him.

After getting seemingly dazed from a knockout punch, Keith Richardson didn’t realize that he had lost the fight and for that reason, he kept throwing punches around. But instead of Alberto Blas, the referee Sam Burgos came in the firing line, and fortunately, he managed to avoid getting seriously injured in the process.

Moments later, an official from the BKFC managed to get hold of Keith Richardson, wrapping him up in a bear hug against the ropes.

The main event of the BKFC 62 belonged to the featherweight champion Kai Stewart, who defended his title successfully against Bryan Duran by a unanimous decision. “First and foremost, your boy is tough as (expletive). You guys were loud, you guys were rowdy, and it was one hell of a show. This is a beautiful arena and I can’t wait to come back; y’all are blessed,” Kai Stewart said to nearly 7k fans at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
