Shivam Dube played decent innings against the USA and South Africa in the final, keeping the faith of the selectors, who gave him a long rope despite a slow start in the earlier matches.
Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Suryakumar Yadav (8/10)
Kuldeep Yadav was drafted into the Indian playing XI in the Caribbean leg of the T20 World Cup 2024, picking up 10 wickets in five matches at an economy of just under seven despite a tough day against the South Africans in the final. Axar Patel was exceptional for India in all facets of the game in the tournament, and his best performance came in the grand finale against South Africa, scoring 47 off just 31 after the Indian team lost three early wickets.
Suryakumar Yadav had a slow start to the T20 World Cup 2024, but he made up for it with quality innings against the USA and England in the semifinal, while his match-defining catch in the final against South Africa will be remembered for years to come.
Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Arshdeep Singh (9/10)
Rohit Sharma, the captain of India, was exceptional in providing fast starts in the T20 World Cup 2024, without looking to preserve his wicket, and despite that, he was the highest scorer for the team with 257 runs at a strike-rate of 156.70. When India were down and out in the final against South Africa, who needed 30 off 30 with set batters at the crease, the 37-year-old galvanised the team to get over the line following which he announced his retirement from the T20I format.
Arshdeep Singh was the joint highest wicket-taker in the T20 World Cup 2024 alongside Fazalhaq Farooqi of Afghanistan, picking up 17 wickets at an economy of 7.16.

Jasprit Bumrah received the player of the tournament award for his exceptional showing with the ball in the T20 World Cup 2024, taking 15 wickets at a mind-blowing economy of just 4.17. He played like a captain’s dream right throughout the tournament, bowling in all phases of the innings against the best batters of the opposition, keeping them on their toes at all times.
