Valorant Champions 2024 Grand Finals

Map 1: Haven

The grand finals kicked off with a mirror match of agent compositions, though Heretics introduced Neon in place of their usual Jett for Dominykas “MiniBoo” Lukasevicius. Despite EDG initially taking a 2-0 lead, Heretics dominated the map with a nine-round winning streak, dismantling EDG’s site pushes and securing a 13-6 victory. Former Fortnite pro Benjy “benjyfishy” Fish was pivotal for Heretics, finishing as the map MVP with a 17/14/5 KDA and 270 ACS.

Map 2: Sunset

EDG responded strongly on the second map, starting with a commanding 9-0 lead and ending the half with an 11-1 advantage. Heretics attempted a comeback with three consecutive wins after halftime, but EDG’s aggressive play proved too overwhelming, resulting in a 13-4 win. Zheng “ZmjjKK” Yongkang shone brightly for EDG, recording seven first kills and a 22/9/7 KDA with 378 ACS.

Map 3: Lotus

The third map, Lotus, was a tightly contested affair. The teams were tied 6-6 at halftime, with both sides trading rounds and showing strong plays. EDG edged out in the final moments, winning the last four rounds to close the map 13-9 and take a 2-1 lead in the series.

Map 4: Bind

In a thrilling fourth map, Bind, Heretics fought back fiercely. Miniboo’s strong performance led Heretics to a 6-6 tie at halftime and a 12-8 lead. Despite a late push from EDG and an impressive ace by Kangkang, Heretics secured the map 13-11 with a crucial Brimstone molly lineup preventing EDG from defusing.

Map 5: Abyss

The final map, Abyss, saw EDG take an early 8-4 lead. Heretics mounted a brief comeback, winning five straight rounds to narrow the gap to 11-9. However, a standout round by Kangkang halted Heretics’ momentum, and EDG closed out the map 13-9 to win the championship.
