Indian politician Tejashwi Yadav comes from a renowned political family in the country, and he is a son of former Chief Minister of Bihar, Lalu Prasad Yadav. However, very few know that Yadav has also played professional cricket. Tejashwi Yadav was once a part of Delhi Daredevils (now known as Delhi Capitals) in the early years of the Indian Premier League (IPL). However, he didn’t get to play a single match in the cash-rich league.

In his latest interview, Tejashwi Yadav claimed that star Indian cricketer Virat Kohli played under his captaincy. Tejashwi also made a claim that he and Kohli played together for Delhi. The former deputy Chief Minister of Bihar said that he was a good player, but he had to step away from cricket due to injuries. According to the stats from ESPNcricinfo, Tejashwi has played one first-class, two List A, and four T20s in domestic cricket for Jharkhand.

“Virat Kohli used to play under my captaincy. I was very good at cricket, but due to injuries I had to leave it. Virat and I played together for Delhi,” Tejashwi Yadav was quoted as saying by OneCricket.
